Repossession Recording: With Florida Clerk of Circuit Court where repo
property is first located. Uniform Commercial Code adopted January, 1967
in Florida.
Repo Recovery: Peaceful repossession permitted in Florida.
Repo Redemption: Debtor can redeem only prior to Florida repo sale or
foreclosure by payment of entire balance to repossessor.
Repo Deficiency: Florida Confession of judgment invalid in repossession
foreclosure proceedings. Court can enter repossession deficiency
judgment in Florida.
Special Motor Vehicle Provisions: Sworn notice of repo lien must be
filed with Florida Commissioner of Motor Vehicles and will appear on
title in lieu of general recording statute.
Repo Documents Required to Transfer Ownership of Motor Vehicle: Title
must be reduced to lien holder's or repossessor name.
Repo Plates: Remain with the owner or repossessor.
